When I was a little girl my Mum took my brother and me and some friends to the sand dunes to make a film drama. We of course hadn't really planned a story or worked anything out more than an Arabian knights style adventure and a lot of running around in the dunes. As a little girl full of dreams and ideas of romance, I wanted to be a princess who was lost in the dunes and then rescued.

But that adventure has left me with such fondness for the beautiful dunes of South Wales. It looks romantic doesn't it. Maybe just missing a princess.

Went traveling through Wales while the weather was good, no rain just balmy days. I loved the spectacular and dramatic scenery. So my next few paintings will be based on that trip. The only question being how to portray the drama. This is acrylic and ink on linen board.

This painting of the lovely @aubreydyemagpie entitled "This is who I am," seems to have a life of its own. Maybe it's because the beautiful tattoos that Aubrey has, seem to express her soul so beautifully. I was drawn to them and wanted to paint her and wasn't a bit surprised to find out that she was a healer @the_sunlit_soul

My painting has been selected for an International Exhibition of Portraits @no.35gallery

This is the exhibition.of postcards in Slovenia which, has moved to a larger gallery venue for summer 26. This photograph shows my painting "Shameful Lips" (the explanation for the title is in an earlier post) being picked out. This post by @13b_ljw is announcing an article that has been written in a local magazine.

Thank you to the organisers of this exhibition @13b_ljw who have been so enthusiastic about my work.

My painting 'Orange Landscape' has been selected by @no.35gallery for their online exhibition 'Colour'
It does make me smile that my work should get into this particular exhibition because colour is so important to me it seems to resonate in everything I do, paint, wear and even in my home. And here I have used orange, purple, red and blue to describe an Icelandic landscape with snow covered mountains.

My art, @tin_stanton art and @kreedartist is being exhibited @thewhitehorse_wot in Westbury on Trym in Bristol. It looks so cool to see it in this lovely environment, and the colour scheme seems to compliment the paintings. Thank you so much Emma and Chloe.

If you fancy a visit the food looks amazing especially the Sunday lunch. So a bit of art and some amazing food what's not to like.

I really like this painting but apparently this behaviour in cats which, seems to us to be affection is in fact a form of bullying. Licking and caressing the other cat untill it submits and gives up that best spot in the sun or next to the fire. The cat receiving the affection doesn't look happy.
